Vineyard
Grown approximately 100 metres above sea level, the vines thrive in Salento’s thin, clay-rich soils scattered with mineral rocks, an ideal environment for producing intensely flavoured Primitivo grapes. Harvested in the second week of September, each grape reflects the balance of warm Mediterranean days and cool coastal nights, creating a wine of remarkable richness.
Vinification
The grapes undergo meticulous selection before temperature-controlled fermentation at 25–26°C using selected yeasts for around 10 days. The wine then matures for six months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, developing its smooth texture, spice notes, and signature depth.
Tasting Notes
This vintage delivers a rich, full-bodied profile bursting with ripe cherries, plums, and brambly forest fruits. Subtle layers of cocoa, vanilla, and warm spice complement its velvety texture.
