Allegrini works its magic in Bolgheri, where it produces this Super-Tuscan style wine. Merlot; Cab Sav; Cab Franc; Petit Verdot grapes are blend aged in 225L barriques for 15mths. A structured, concentrated and fresh wine, but with ripe tannins. Plenty of dark berry fruit with liquorice. The 2016 was a beauty, scoring 92 in Wine Advocate, We agreed. 2019 was such a great vintage that this should score at least 92pts.
